Hahn, Texas Helps Austin Mayor With April Fools Laughs

Hahn, Texas volunteered its video production services to help Austin Mayor Lee Leffingwell pull off a “fishy” April Fools prank. Leffingwell conspired with local musician Ben Livingston and others to spin a yarn about a mythical giant fish in Lady Bird Lake, dubbed Carpie, with a fondness for chicken fried steak.

Hahn, Texas produced the YouTube video about the eyewitness accounts of the giant lake creature reported to be 15 to 20 feet long. Several media outlets picked up on the prank and the video has garnered several thousand hits.

“I looked out there this morning; I couldn't believe it. It was one of the biggest fish I've ever seen in my life. I recognized it, of course, as a native carp,” said Mayor Leffingwell.
