Hahn, Texas Recruits Newest Citizen, Patty Gonzales
Mar. 1, 2010 - Hahn, Texas is proud to welcome Patty Gonzales to our growing community as a director of client services and new business development. As the former statewide communications manager for the Texas Council on Family Violence, the director of government affairs for Time Warner Cable and a public information specialist for the City of Austin, Patty has a wealth of communications experience to help attract and provide strategic counsel to both public- and private-sector clients.
Patty was born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley, where she got her first experience in communications as a reporter and anchor at KGBT-TV in Harlingen, covering crime, schools, city councils, higher education and agriculture throughout the region.
Among her many accomplishments, Patty has been responsible for community outreach and development at the Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, was the statewide administrator of the Texas Department of Public Safety’s Help End Auto Theft (H.E.A.T.) program and is one of the founders of the Prom Princesses/Prom Dudes Project.
Patty currently serves on the board of the Austin Area Urban League, and is a past board member of the Mexic-Arte Museum, Association for Women in Communications-Austin Chapter, Capital Area Reach Out and Read, and the Hispanic Austin Leadership Program.
